I have been involved with the pageantry arts for over 40 years. I am currently a WGI Design Analysis judge and have been judging winter and fall for over 15 years. Previously, I have been the lead designer for St. Anns Color Guard, Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps and numerous marching band programs.

Christine Clayton

Portland, OR
Christine Clayton recently moved to Clearwater, FL after stints in Portland OR, Nashville TN, and Southern California. She spent her college years as a color guard performer with the University of Southern California and the Sacramento Freelancers Drum and Bugle Corps, then spent 15 years teaching high school and college color guard in the Los Angeles area including Granada Hills Charter High School and USC. After moving to Nashville in 2005 her primary pageantry focus moved to judging while still keeping her hand in instructing as a clinician and writer for groups in Tennessee, Alabama, Texas and Oregon.

During the fall Christine is a Visual judge for marching band circuits across the country and in the winter adjudicates movement and visual for guard and percussion respectively. In the past Christine has served as the Director of Education for the Winter Guard Association of Southern California, the Judges Liaison for the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit and the Movement Caption Manager for WGI. She currently holds the positions of Judges Liaison for the NWAPA, Judges Coordinator for CWEA and Judges Education Director for the Florida Federation of Judges Association.

Christine holds her B.S. in Business Management and her MBA in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix and in all her spare time is the Manager of Medicaid Credentialing Operations for Aetna Health Care.

John Phillips

Cape Coral, FL
John Phillips is in demand as adjudicator across North America and around the world. He is Artistic Coordinator for the Southwest Florida Symphony.
He was conductor of the Symphonic Band at the University of Western Ontario as well as teaching conducting and music education classes.
John has expertise in marching music and serves as the Judge Administrator for Drum Corps International.
He is also a featured clinician and adjudicator for Music For All in the concert band forum - National Concert Festival - and marching band - Bands of America Grand Nationals and MFA Summer Symposium.
John has also adjudicated the World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) World Championships and the All-Japan Marching Band Championships numerous times.

Ken Giese

Henderson, NV
Ken Giese is an experienced instructor, designer, and adjudicator for marching bands, winter guards, marching percussion lines, indoor marching winds units, and drum and bugle corps. He is the former chief judge of the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit, and a long time ensemble analysis judge for Winter Guard International. He is currently an active visual judge for Music For All ( Bands of America), Drum Corps International, Winter Guard International (Percussion Division), and numerous other local circuits. Mr. Giese currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he is a high school mathematics teacher for the Clark County School System.

Michael Leitzke

Brentwood, TN
Mike Leitzke began his percussion career at Prospect High School in Mount Prospect, Illinois, and went on to become a member of the Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps and Rhythm X Indoor percussion ensemble. During his tenure at Rhythm X the group earned their first WGI World Class Championship.

Mike has taught, arranged, and consulted for many high schools and indoor programs across the United States- including several BOA and WGI National finalists. Additionally, Mike served as the front ensemble caption head/arranger for Palmetto Percussion from 2009-2011. During that time the ensemble won the 2010 WGI Open Class World Championship, and made PIW Finals for the first time. Mike also served as a clinician at the GearWORKS series of educational events put on by The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps from 2009 to 2014. Mike was on the percussion faculty of the Colts Drum & Bugle corps for the 2010 season, and was the front ensemble coordinator for the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps in 2011.

Presently, Mike is an active adjudicator for Drum Corps International and is extremely fortunate to judge across the country in a variety of different circuits during the indoor percussion season. Mike is an educational artist for Innovative Percussion, Inc.

Mike earned a degree in GIS/Atmospheric Science from the University of South Carolina and works for the State of Tennessee.

Mike Stone

West Hills, CA
MIKE STONE resides in Los Angeles, California and has been adjudicating various pageantry competitions for 19 years. He attributes his interest in pageantry to his high school music and marching band program. Mr. Stone has studied and taught in, several different music education programs. He is currently an adjudicator at the highest level and judges both nationally and internationally.

Robert Solomon

Van Nuys, CA
Robert Solomon has been involved in the marching arts since 1979. He played trumpet and was drum major at El Camino Real HS in Woodland Hills, CA. Robert continued to perform as a member of the color guard for the Velvet Knights Drum & Bugle Corps and at California State University, Northridge. He then turned to instructing and has designed for several top programs in Southern California, and continues today. He has been judging since 1996 and is an adjudicator for Winter Guard International, Drum Corps International, Bands of America, and various state and local associations.

Robert is a banker and lives in Los Angeles, CA with his Golden Retriever George.

wayne dillon

Roselle, NJ
Wayne Dillon holds a Masters degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Miami. He is currently the Director of Bands at Elizabeth HS in NJ. Wayne is a current adjudicator for BOA, DCI and WGI (winds). He has judged the championships for all three organizations, and is currently a music judge liason for DCI.
