Scott Bilbruck - Owner
Scott brings over 25 years of expertise in many areas of the band and color guard industries. He began his career teaching at Los Altos High School in California and was on staff with the USC Trojan Marching Band while he was earning his degree at USC. From there he became a teacher at Mater Dei High School and eventually Director of Performing Arts. He left Mater Dei in 2001 to do freelance work with high school bands throughout the country and was also hired by the Winter Guard Association of Southern California (WGASC) to become Director of Operations. During his tenure at the WGASC, the association has become a trendsetter in industry technologies and constantly moves the bar forward with educational and adjudication tools. The WGASC and its' marching band division (MBOS) were the first organizations to implement digital judge commentary and paperless judging at their contests. e-Adjudicate is the culmination of a completely digitized judging experience and once again moves the industry forward into the 21st century.
Peggy Bilbruck - Owner
Peggy has been a performer, instructor and teacher in pageantry related activities for over 35 years. She began marching at the age of 7 with the Anaheim Kingsmen Drum and Bugle Corps and had the honor to end her performing career with the 1986 World Champion Blue Devils. From there Peggy went on to teach at all levels of the drum corps, marching band and winter guard activities. Her love for the activity led her to the position of Vice President of a national uniform manufacturing company but her true passion has always been in education. Peggy earned her doctorate degree in 2011 in the area of Educational Leadership. She became the Director of Operations for an Online High School and Dean of Online Learning at a Career College. Peggy is excited to bring her knowledge and passion for online learning to the new e-Adjudicate Academy which is in development for judges and directors in 2014.
Anthony Bailey - Consultant/Band
Anthony is in his fourteenth year as Director of Bands at William S. Hart High School. His duties include: director of the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Music Technology, Colorguard and winter Drum Line. He completed his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Northern Arizona University where he studied conducting with James Ripley, Richard McEnaney and Patricia Hoy. He also studied saxophone with Wildy Zumwalt. Under Mr. Bailey's direction, the bands have acquired a fine reputation of musical excellence. The concert groups have received nothing less than superior ratings and have performed at some of the finest concert halls available in America. Past performances have included Bands of America National Concert Band Festival, Western Band Association Concert Band Festival, Carnegie Hall, The Washington D.C. International Music Festival and the Disney Honors Festival. The Hart Regiment has been named the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association Marching Band Champion in their division for nine consecutive years from 2002-2010, and has competed at the finals level consistently at Bands of America Regional Championships since 2002. They are also the only ensemble to medal at every Marching Band Open Series Championships since the inception in 2008. Mr. Bailey has received two citations of excellence from the National Band Association and several recognitions from the County of Los Angeles, the city of Santa Clarita and William S. Union High School District school board. His professional affiliations include National Association for Music Education, National Band Association, Jazz Education Network, Western Band Association, California Band Directors Association and Southern California School Band Orchestra Association. Mr. Bailey is an adjudicator and a clinician, as well as an advisor for the Marching Band Open Series.
Susan Gehringer - Consultant/Dance
Sue has been involved in the dance/drill team world for over 35 years. She has directed, choreographed, judged and coached teams all over the United States. She is a former board member of CADTD where she served two terms as president. She is currently the judges' liaison where she trains and assists with judges servicing the CADTD circuit. She is also a judge for SCSBOA adjudicating both for field and parade competitions. She was past director for Esperanza High School Dance Team for ten years when they won numerous National Titles. Her current freelance choreography for Southland teams continues to garner wins for these groups. Her choreography continues to win at the National level and can claim consistent wins annually since 1979 to the present. Her professional choreography can be seen on television, musical stages and industrials. Her "way past" performance credits take her all over the United States and Japan Sue was named "Dance Educator of the Year" by the Orange County Performing Arts Center in both 2002 and 2005. Currently she is Director of Dance of the Esperanza High School Dance Magnet where she has been a teacher for over 25 years. She is an adjunct profession in the education department at the University of Redlands.
Gail Hart - Consultant/Choir
Gail Hart has been the choral director of Sound Vibrations and the award winning Hart High Show Choirs for sixteen years. Her groups have been Grand Champions at various FAME competitions many times, in addition to receiving top honors at local Southern California competitions. Previous to directing the choirs at Hart, Gail had a rich career as an actress in musical theater, also performing in nightclubs, cruise ships, Las Vegas, and appearing for the entire run of the original Los Angeles company of "Phantom of the Opera". She holds a degree from the theater department of UCLA.
Brian Nunez - Consultant/Marching Band and Drum Major
Brian Nunez is excited to be a part of e-Adjudicate's drum major and marching band divisions. Brian has been active in the pageantry arts as a performer, adjudicator and educator for 18 years. During that time Brian has studied under and taught with some of the activities best designers. His involvement in the pageantry arts began as a musician and drum major at Fairfield high school. After high school Brian continued his performance education as a member of the Concord Blue Devils and Fantasia World Guard. Brian began to hone his teaching skills as a drum major and leadership instructor with the United Spirit Association. In his eleven years with "USA" he was a member of the curriculum development team, a head instructor and Program Coordinator of the Color Guard program. Brian has valued his time teaching a variety of drum corps, clinics, scholastic and independent teams throughout the United States. He is looking forward to being a part of a new age of judging with e-Adjudicate.
Mike Stone - Consultant/Marching Band
Mike Stone is proud to be affiliated with e-Adjudicate's Marching Band division. Mike has been adjudicating various pageantry competitions for 17 years. He attributes his interest in pageantry to his high school music and marching band program. Mike has studied and taught in several different music programs in California. He was drum major for two years at Agoura High School and was also a member of the drum line at San Diego State University in 1989. Mike is a co-founder of the Marching Band Open Series (MBOS) in Southern California established in 2006. MBOS was the first series of contests to be judged using digital recordings. Mike is honored to be a part of the next digital wave of e-Adjudication!
